Within walking distance there is a Tibetan refugee camp established in 1960 to promote handicrafts that has now become Nepal's one of the biggest exports. It is intriguing to see the skilled craftsmen dexterously spinning, dyeing and weaving the carpets on handlooms using traditional designs. Besides, the renowned cottage industrial centre is at close proximity where watching the local artisans work on wood carving and metal object is a "Visual Feast" in itself.
